Begum Nawazish is probably the most talked bout personality of Pakistan after Pervez Musharraf. Begum Nawazish's late night show on Aaj TV achieved much recognition for Ali Saleem to get him offers to play the same role in India. A very famous channel called 9X airs Ali Saleem's show "Begum" and has been on TV since 15th December 2007 whereby Begum interviews her Bollywood guests.

Recently in the New Talents Awards of Sahara One channel Begum Nawazish was also nominated under the category of Best Anchor Female. Even though the award was won by Mona Singh for Jhalak Dikhla Ja, it is a privilege for a Pakistani artist to have been supported by Indian television.
