Ban on dance ( Mujra ) in theatres is expected to be imposed in next few days, said highly placed sources.

Lately the federal minister for culture had dispatched a summary to Chief Minister of Punjab proposing imposition of ban on theatre dance while Interior Ministry had also sent a report to CM Punjab regarding the same issue.

Sources said the new CM of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was going to take an action on the summary in the next few days. The people related to theatre industry were highly concerned about the issue and stressed that theatre dance has no obscenity and all the propaganda was a conspiracy hatched by people against the theatre industry. Moreover all the stage actors appealed to the government to define a policy that did not affect the business of stage drama. The drama industry would collapse if a ban was imposed on dance performance, they added.

Oh no... this is too bad.. I really love mujras in Multan.. best mujras in the world.. I think we should take out a rally against this cruel act of our government..

Hashmat: Our only source of entertaiment is gone!!

Sorry Minakshi.. but here in Pakistan we have no clubs or bars.. the only entertainment we get is through these MUJRAS.. u people can have fun dancing in club or watch other PeoPle dance.. we can only have fun watching awesome mujras of nargis and other babes of Punjab.. think twice before you say something to someone.. you don't know you might be hurting their feelings
