Khuda Ke Liye wons the Best Film Award in the World Competetion for Fukuoka Audience Award in japan held on the 20th of September. Twenty-three films from Asia were screened in the world competition.

Each film was shown three times to the audience who had to poll. Renowned names like actor-director Majeed Majeedi from Iran and big movies like Om Shanti Om from India also took part in the competition. The award to ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ came as a potion for the dying Pakistani film industry.
